Вечер 29 апреля 2022 года, Свердловская область. Участковая уполномоченная Эльвира Муфазалова отправляется на рыбалку вместе со своим приемным сыном, инвалидом детства, Анатолием Хлызовым.
Ближе к ночи парень возвращается домой один и рассказывает всем невероятную на первый взгляд историю о том, как на женщину напал неизвестный в черной маске – и убил её.
Поскольку Анатолий был последним, кто видел Эльвиру живой, его тут же объявляют основным подозреваемым в убийстве и отправляют под стражу. Однако никто, включая родных женщины, не верит в его вину. Семья Эльвиры твердо решает доказать это и найти настоящего преступника...
