Israel Diserang Iran, Kapal Induk AS Mendadak Tinggalkan Laut China Selatan Menuju Arah Timur Tengah

Data dari Marine Traffic menunjukkan kapal itu bergerak ke barat ke arah Timur Tengah, tempat pertempuran antara Israel dan Iran berlangsung.
Dikutip dari Al Arabiya, USS Nimitz awalnya dijadwalkan mengujungi pelabuhan di Kota Danang, Vietnam pekan ini.
Namun, dua sumber mengonfirmasi bahwa kapal tersebut batal datang.
Kedutaan Besar AS di Hanoi telah diberitahu soal pembatalan tersebut karena situasi darurat.
Kelompok Serang Kapal Induk Nimitz sebelumnya melakukan operasi keamanan maritim di Laut China Selatan pekan lalu.
Operasi tersebut adalah bagian dari kehadiran rutin Angkatan Laut AS di Indo-Pasifik.
Pihak kedutaan tidak menjelaskan maksud dari situasi daruat yang membuat USS Nimitz batal ke Vietnam.
Namun, situs pelacakan kapal, Marine Traffic mengungkapkan bahwa kapal terus bergerak menuju barat.
Muncul dugaan bahwa USS Nimitz dikerahkan ke Timur Tengah untuk membantu Israel melawan Iran.
AS sebenarnya masih punya satu kapal induk bertenaga nuklir di kawasan tersebut yakni USS Carl Vinson.
Kapal itu ditugaskan untuk melawan ancaman Houthi Yaman yang dianggap menganggu arus dagang di Laut Merah.
