Devadoothan is a Malayalam mystery, horror, musical and drama film directed by Sibi Malayil and written by Raghunath Paleri, starring Mohanlal as Vishal Krishnamoorthy and Jaya Prada as Angelina Ignatius. The film also features Janardanan, Vijayalakshmi, Murali, Jagathy Sreekumar, Vineeth Kumar and Jagadish. Music was composed by the legendary Vidyasagar, with lyrics by Kaithapram.

The central mystery immediately grabs us: Vishal returns to his old college to direct a musical, but the past he thought he had escaped starts coming back. The mysterious Seven Bells and the haunting melody create an atmosphere that feels completely different from an ordinary horror movie. As the story slowly reveals its secrets, Vasu and Swathi are trying to understand what is really happening. 👻🔔

For Tamil movie reaction fans, this is a particularly interesting experience because Devadoothan doesn't depend only on jump scares.
