The chaos at IndiGo continues. In the past seven days alone, there have been 4,500 cancellations, affecting nearly six lakh passengers. Responding to the chaos, India's Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu told Parliament today that strict action will be taken against IndiGo. "The IndiGo crisis occurred due to problems in its crew rostering and internal planning systems. IndiGo was supposed to manage crew rosters through its day-to-day operations. We are ensuring that the FDTL is properly implemented, and there has been no compromise on that front," he said. The airline's CEO, Pieter Elbers, has also been pulled up. The government issued him a show-cause notice, giving him 24 hours to explain what went wrong. Meanwhile, IndiGo's stock has taken a major hit, down more than 15% in the last five days, including an 8% plunge today.
