Para explicar ese ruido mental, el psicólogo Tomás Navarro utiliza una imagen tan divertida como precisa: un hámster hiperactivo dentro de la cabeza.
Ese "hámster" puede saltar al futuro cuando aparece la ansiedad o quedarse atrapado en el pasado cuando nos invade la crítica. El problema no es pensar, sino que ese ruido nos impida concentrarnos, dormir o estar presentes. Por eso Navarro propone tratarlo con amabilidad y darle una "rueda": una forma de canalizar la actividad mental sin luchar contra ella.
En este vídeo, Tomás Navarro también recuerda que el ruido no siempre es interno. Puede venir del ambiente, de una relación, de una familia o de una pareja. La clave está en revisar qué ruido tenemos cerca, qué nos está impidiendo vivir con calma y qué mensaje puede estar escondido en el silencio.
