580 Pendaki Terjebak di Gunung Everest Usai Hujan dan Badai Salju | SAPA PAGI
KOMPAS.TV - Ratusan pendaki terjebak di lereng timur usai hujan dan badai salju menerpa Gunung Everest. Otoritas setempat menyebut, total 580 pendaki terjebak.Selain 580 pendaki, sebanyak 300 pemandu juga ikut terjebak di lereng timur Gunung Everest. Para pendaki terdampar di ketinggian lebih dari 4.900 meter atau 16 ribu kaki, ketika hujan salju lebat menghalangi rute mereka.
Beruntung, para pendaki termasuk pemandu berhasil turun usai badai salju berhenti.
Sebelumnya, badai salju dipicu oleh hujan deras di selatan Tibet, di mana tanah longsor dan banjir bandang memblokir jalan hingga menyebabkan 40 orang meninggal.
