A USA Today column points to one factor that may have prevented Caitlin Clark from the women’s national team: how the former Iowa star’s fans would react to her playing time in the Olympics.Clark's playing time would have likely been limited. She was invited to the national team's training camp in April, but due to the Iowa Hawkeye's success in the women's final in the NCAA tournament, she was unable to attend. Shortly after, Clark was selected first overall in the WNBA Draft by the Indiana Fever.
