HANTAVIRUS: Tote Deutsche wird von Kreuzfahrtschiff „Hondius“ abtransportiertRotterdam (Niederlande) – Die Sonne ist hinter der „Hondius“ untergegangen, es ist still geworden im Hafen von Rotterdam. Zwei Bestatter in hellblauen Schutzkitteln und mit einem Leichensack kommen kurz nach 22 Uhr. Sie verschwinden mit fünf Besatzungsmitgliedern im Bauch des Kreuzfahrtschiffs, um die Leiche der toten Deutschen abzuholen.
Nach Behördenangaben sollte die Leiche von einem spezialisierten Bestattungsunternehmen auf dem Schiff abgeholt werden. Wie die Leiterin der Gesundheitsbehörde der Region Rotterdam-Rijnmond, Yvonne van Duijnhoven, der Nachrichtenagentur AFP sagte, wird die Tote in Absprache mit der Familie umgehend in ein Krematorium in der Nähe des Amsterdamer Flughafens Schiphol gebracht und eingeäschert. Die Asche wird dann der Familie übergeben.
