Der Iran-Krieg drohte erneut zu eskalieren – nun gibt es vorsichtiges Aufatmen im Nahen Osten: Nachdem sich Iran und Israel seit gestern Abend gegenseitig beschossen hatten, verkündeten nun beide Seiten ein Ende der Kämpfe. Dazu beigetragen haben dürfte der Druck aus den USA. Washington forderte eine Rückkehr zu der seit Anfang April geltenden Feuerpause. Noch am Montagmorgen hatte es Luftalarm in Israel gegeben. Mehrere Raketen aus dem Iran, aber auch aus dem Jemen, wurden abgefangen. Trümmer gingen zudem im Westjordanland nieder.Welche Rolle die USA bei der Entscheidung Israels gespielt haben, die Angriffe einzustellen, erklärt unsere Korrespondentin Sophie von der Tann.
