Mereka memasuki halaman Masjid Al Aqsa di Al Quds yang diduduki pada Kamis (2/10/2025).
Alasan pemukim Israel menggeruduk Masjid Al Aqsa adalah merayakan hari raya Yahudi "Yom Kippur".
Berdasarkan sumber-sumber lokal, pasukan pendudukan Israel disebut mengetatkan tindakan militer di sekitar masjid dan Kota Tua.
Mereka bahkan membatasi akses warga Palestina untuk masuk ke halaman masjid.
Pembatasan bagi warga Palestina itu diberlakukan untuk memudahkan pergerakan pemukim Israel masuk ke Masjid Al Aqsa.
Otoritas pendudukan juga menutup jalan al-Omariya, satu-satunya akses kendaraan ke Kota Tua untuk mengamankan pergerakan para pemukim selama hari raya.
Polisi pendudukan telah mendirikan penghalang beton, barikade logam dan menutup jalan untuk membatasi warga Palestina.
Pihak berwenang secara rutin memanfaatkan hari raya Yahudi untuk memberlakukan pembatasan ketat terhadap warga Palestina di Al Quds dan Tepi barat.
