El Cuerpo de la Guardia Revolucionaria Islámica de Irán afirmó haber lanzado misiles balísticos contra bases militares de Estados Unidos en Kuwait y Bahréin. Según las autoridades kuwaitíes, los sistemas de defensa aérea interceptaron los proyectiles, mientras que Bahréin activó las sirenas de alerta aérea en todo el país. La fuerza militar iraní aseguró que la ofensiva se realizó en represalia tras los recientes bombardeos por parte de Washington contra sus instalaciones de radar ubicadas en la costa del país.
