До України з російського полону повернулися 10 цивільних. Їх зустріли у ніч на суботу в аеропорту «Київ».Серед звільнених – Наріман Джелял, заступник голови Меджлісу кримськотатарського народу. Його захопили 2021-го і засудили до 17 років позбавлення волі.
Також в Україну повернулися цивільні Олена Пех та Валерій Матюшенко, які в полоні ще з 2017-2018 років.
Вдома і двоє священників Української греко-католицької церкви – Богдан Гелета та Іван Левицький, яких захопили у Бердянську. Також додому повернулися 5 цивільних, яких затримали і утримували у Білорусі.
Повернення 10 цивільних відбулося в рамках 53-го обміну полоненими, який розпочався 25 червня зі звільненням 90 військових.
За словами представника ГУР Андрія Юсова, обмін відбувся за сприяння ОАЕ та Ватикану.
Знімальна група Радіо Свобода зустрічала звільнених з полону цивільних в аеропорті у Києві. Як відбулося повернення та якими були перші емоції під час зустрічі – у репортажі.
