금리인하 시기 한국은 'IT·바이오' 돈 몰렸다

오늘 증시 화두는 단연 FOMC입니다.
연준은 예상대로 0.25%p 인하를 단행했는데, 파월 의장이 이번 결정을 ‘위험 관리 성격’이라며 보험성 인하임을 강조했습니다. 과거와 달리 경기 침체 대응이 아닌 선제적 대응이라는 점에서, 시장에는 긍정적 시그널로 읽힐 수 있습니다.

다만 지난해 사례처럼 미국 증시는 올랐지만 한국 증시는 반대로 하락했던 경험도 있죠. 당시에는 실적 부진, 외국인 매도, 정책 모멘텀 부재라는 세 가지 악재가 겹쳤습니다. 하지만 올해는 반도체를 중심으로 실적 컨센서스가 개선되고, 외국인 매수세가 유입되며, 상법 개정안 등 정책 모멘텀도 뒷받침되고 있습니다.

단기적으로는 9월 급등에 따른 부담, 엔비디아 변수, 연휴 수급 공백 등으로 변동성은 불가피하지만, 연준의 보험성 금리 인하와 주도 업종 이익 개선, 정책 모멘텀을 고려하면 기대 요인도 충분합니다. 실제 과거 금리 인하기에는 IT와 바이오, 커뮤니케이션 업종이 가장 먼저 수혜를 봤다는 점도 참고할 만합니다.
