Migranti, la Life Support con 47 persone a bordo verso Livorno(LaPresse) Domenica 30 giugno è previsto l'arrivo a Livorno della Life Support di Emergency con a bordo le 47 persone soccorse nel Mediterraneo Centrale. L'operazione di soccorso, conclusasi il 26 giugno scorso alle 15:30, è avvenuta in acque internazionali nella zona Sar libica. “Stiamo procedendo nella nostra navigazione verso il Pos assegnato di Livorno, che dista 630 miglia dal punto in cui è avvenuto il soccorso – afferma Carlo Maisano, capomissione della Life Support -. Una volta concluso lo sbarco dei 47 naufraghi, ci prepareremo per la nostra 21esima missione, torneremo nel Mediterraneo centrale dove la Life Support continuerà a svolgere le sue attività di ricerca e soccorso per salvare vite e portare le persone in un Paese sicuro, dove i diritti non vengono negati”.
I 47 naufraghi, di cui 39 uomini, 3 donne e 5 minori non accompagnati, si trovavano in una situazione critica: ammassati su un gommone di 6 metri, senza salvagenti. Lo staff della ong li ha portati tutti al sicuro a bordo della Life Support e le operazioni di soccorso si sono svolte senza criticità. I naufraghi, originari di Nigeria, Etiopia, Ghana, Libia, Eritrea, Bangladesh, Sud Sudan e Sudan, stavano fuggendo da conflitti armati e gravi violazioni dei diritti umani. (Corriere Tv).
