Dari hasil pemeriksaan terungkap bahwa tersangka bernama Andreas itu telah menggunakan sejumlah uang untuk berbagai keperluan, termasuk membayar biaya sekolah sang adik.
Saat ditangkap di sebuah hotel di kawasan Serpong, Tangerang Selatan pada Minggu (1/6), Andreas hanya membawa uang Rp 67 juta.
Selisih uang sekitar Rp 17 juta selain untuk biaya sekolah adik, juga digunakan untuk membeli ponsel dan tiket pesawat ke Batam bersama keluarganya.
Dirreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Pol Wira Satya Triputra dalam konferensi pers pada Selasa (3/6) mengatakan, Andreas mengambil uang senilai Rp 84 juta tersebut dari laci meja tempat jualan.
Selain uang, tersangka juga mengambil dua ponsel dan satu unit motor.

Hal yang memicu Andreas melakukan aksi pembunuhan adalah dirinya yang disebut malas bekerja dan dibandingkan dengan karyawan lain.
Alasan lain penolakan korban adalah, pelaku sudah sering berutang.
Andreas lantas emosi dan menghantamkan kardus berisi air mineral pada korban hingga akhirnya Alex membentur kloset dan tewas.
