"Why would you want to add politics to the mix?" For all the hollowness of “Elbows up” and early performative Liberal stunts, it’s authenticity that cuts through gas-lighting and spin, and more candidates like Brady should be encouraged to run, or put forward by the Liberals and Conservatives, if we truly hope to leave the last decade in the rearview.
Their bond forged during COVID, when Brady platformed Brown's critiques of Trudeau and Ford's handling of 2020-2022, adds depth. Brown recalls Brady's bravery in allowing him to join ‘Toronto Today’ to cover Covid mandates and the Freedom Convoy while mainstream media shied away.
The two lament the "social contagion" of external distractions, and how global panics overshadow homegrown issues. "We should focus on domestic priorities without throwing the baby out with the bathwater," Brown urges, a theme that segues seamlessly into skewering Carney.

As U.S.-Canada trade talks stall, credit for ‘Major Projects’ involves misleading the public on projects already well-underway, and lofty promises crumble, Brady and Brown question Carney's early grasp on realities facing everyday Canadians. This may well be working for the elites and those on the big government dole, but once again the Liberals are failing working Canadians and Canada’s future.
In a nation weary of false starts, this episode is a must-listen call for real change.
