Iranian missiles and drones intercepted across Gulf | Qatar, Oman hit
The conflict involving Iran is spreading across the Gulf region, with several countries reporting missile and drone interceptions.Qatar’s defense ministry says it intercepted a missile targeting the country, while residents in Doha received emergency alerts urging them to shelter in place. The incident comes amid growing tensions across the region.
In Oman, authorities say at least two people were killed after shrapnel from a drone interception fell in the Sohar governorate. Another drone strike reportedly damaged fuel tanks at the port of Salalah.
Saudi Arabia also reported intercepting drones heading toward the Shaybah oil field, while in Bahrain emergency crews brought a fire under control after fuel storage tanks were hit.
Regional leaders have called for de-escalation as fears grow that the conflict could spread further across the Middle East. Gulf states are urging dialogue and diplomatic efforts to prevent the situation from spiraling into a wider regional war.
