En este cortometraje seguimos la historia de Guarocuya, mejor conocido como Enriquillo, uno de los líderes taínos más importantes en la historia de La Española. La obra, creada por el animador dominicano Ramón Monsanto nos muestra el momento en que todo comenzó: su identidad, la injusticia que enfrentó, y la chispa que encendió una de las primeras rebeliones indígenas contra el dominio español en América.Desde su infancia, marcada por el recordatorio de no olvidar quién es, hasta el evento que lo empuja a levantarse en resistencia, este corto captura el lado más humano y personal de Enriquillo. Aunque fue criado dentro del mundo español, hablando su idioma y entendiendo su cultura, nunca fue tratado como igual. Esa contradicción —entre identidad y opresión— es el corazón de esta historia.
