Pelaksanaan ini dibuka oleh Ketua DPP PDIP Puan Maharani, mewakili Ketua Umum PDIP, Megawati Soekarnoputri.
Acara bimtek ini sebelumnya sempat diisukan sebagai pelaksanaan kongres PDIP, namun ternyata hal itu dibantah oleh keterangan sejumlah tokoh.
Ketika jadwal pelaksanaan kongres ditanyakan langsung ke Puan, ia menjawab bahwa kongres PDIP akan dilaksanakan secepatnya.
Lantas apakah pelaksanaan secepatnya yang dimaksud Puan ini adalah agenda PDIP di Nusa Dua Bali pada 1-2 Agustus mendatang?
