Prisioneros palestinos liberados denuncian torturas y trato degradante en las cárceles israelíes

Israel liberó el lunes al director del hospital Al-Shifa, el centro médico más grande de la Franja de Gaza, luego de haberlo detenido sin cargos durante siete meses. Tras ser liberado, el doctor Muhammad Abu Salmiya dijo que sus captores israelíes le rompieron los dedos y lo golpearon de forma repetida en la cabeza como parte de las torturas diarias a las que él y otros palestinos eran sometidos.

Dr. Muhammad Abu Salmiya: “Los reclusos están expuestos a condiciones extremadamente duras, desde la escasez de comida y bebida hasta la tortura física. Todos los reclusos están enfrentando condiciones brutales en este momento. […] Cientos de miembros del personal de salud, incluidos trabajadores médicos, miembros del personal de enfermería y especialistas en radiación, entre otros, fueron atacados y están atrapados en prisiones del Ejército de ocupación, donde están siendo torturados”.

El doctor Abu Salmiya dijo que los prisioneros han perdido un promedio de 25 kilos de peso corporal debido a que no reciben suficiente cantidad de comida y agua. Receive SMS online on sms24.me
