Un tío que mató al menos a cinco personas en California a finales de los 60, que se inventó un nombre, una firma con forma de mira telescópica, y que se dedicaba a llamar él solito a la policía para chivarse de sus propios crímenes. Mandaba cartas a los periódicos amenazando con matar niños en autobuses escolares, retaba a la poli en directo en la tele y dejaba códigos que tardaron décadas en resolverse. De hecho, dos de sus cuatro mensajes cifrados siguen sin descifrarse a día de hoy: en uno supuestamente está su nombre.
Lo más fuerte es el final. Hubo sospechosos, ADN, retratos robot… y aun así nadie sabe quién fue. Puede que no lo sepamos nunca.
