В середине 80-х, когда весь игромир был завален скучнейшими переделками аркадных игр, команда игрового отдела ЛукасФилм создала нечто совершенно невероятное. Эйдолон - третья игра студии, наследник фрактальной технологии из Rescue on Fractalus!, артхаусный 8-битный FPS о путешествии в глубины подсознания. Игра, которую никто не понял, все забыли, и которая незаслуженно осталась в тени истории.Сегодня я вскрываю архив игры до костей - разбираю фрактальную графику, лезу в ассемблер и бинарные файлы, нахожу спрайты прямо в машинном коде и рассказываю всё про механики, врагов и боссов. А заодно рассказываю, почему именно Эйдолон стал поворотным моментом для всей студии ЛукасГеймс.
