Dhiraj-er Dhanmath

This story revolves around the village called Dhupguri and deep-focuses on a character called Dhiraj Bagdi, a low caste, poor man. Dhupguri's infamous big landowner Nobin Mukherjee wants to build a cold storage business by taking away all the cropland from poor farmers like Dhiraj. When Dhiraj in no way agrees to sell his small piece of land, Nobin's men brutally murders him one morning when he is working on his land. After this, the cold storage is successfully constructed and a manager is appointed to take care of the business. one day, the manager notices that a certain eerie events are taking place in the premises of the cold storage, especially on that part of the storage which previously belonged to Dhiraj Bagdi.

এই গল্পটা মূলত ধুপগুড়ি গ্রামের এক নিচু জাত, গরিব চাষী, ধিরাজ বাগদি কে নিয়ে। ধুপগুড়ির কুখ্যাত জমিদার নবীন মুখুজ্জে গ্রামে একটা নতুন হিমঘর তৈরি করবে বলে ঠিক করে এবং সেই যাবৎ গরিব চাষিদের থেকে তাদের জমি কিনে ফেলতে শুরু করে। কিন্তু ধিরাজ কিছুতেই নিজের জমি বিক্রি করতে রাজি হয়না। জমি আদায় করার কোনো উপায় কাজ করছেনা দেখে একদিন ভোরে নবীনের লোক ধিরাজকে নৃশংস ভাবে খুন করে। এরপর সেই হিমঘর তৈরি হয় এবং এক ম্যানেজার সেই ব্যবসার দেখাশোনা করার দায়িত্ব নেয়। একদিন, ম্যানেজার লক্ষ্য করে যে ওই হিমঘরে আজগুবি, অবাস্তব কিছু ঘটনা ঘটছে ঠিক সেই জায়গায় যেখানে আগে ধিরাজ বাগদির জমি ছিল।
