Pasalnya, Pegi sendiri mengaku tak terlibat pembunuhan.
Kini, lebih dari 60 pengacara telah bergabung untuk membantu Pegi mengusut kejanggalan-kejanggalan terhadap penetapan tersangka Pegi.
Salah seorang pengacara Pegi Mayor TNI (Purn) Marwan Iswandi, turut menyoroti soal dua DPO yang dihilangkan aparat kepolisian lantaran disebut fiktif.
Marwan menilai, hal ini aneh lantaran dalam pengadilan, peran dua DPO tersebut sangat krusial jika dibandingkan Pegi.
Sementara untuk membantah keterlibatan kliennya, Marwan menyebut, pihaknya telah menyiapkan barang bukti dan saksi-saksi.
Pihaknya juga telah meminta bantuan kepada sejumlah pihak mulai dari Komisi III hingga Menkopolhukam.
