Es ist ein besonders dunkles Kapitel Geschichte: Uneheliche Kinder galten im katholischen Irland lange als Schande. Unverheiratete Mütter brachten ihre Kinder in sogenannten Mutter-Kind-Heimen zur Welt und mussten dort ihre Babys zurücklassen. ARD-Korrespondentin Franziska Hoppen erzählt in dieser 11KM-Folge von einer irischen Hobby-Historikerin, die über das frühere Mutter-Kind-Heim in Tuam Nachforschungen anstellt und dort ein Kinder-Massengrab aufdeckt.
