Çiğdem de aynı şekilde Fırat'a âşıktır, ancak aralarında zorlu bir engel vardır. Çiğdem birlikte olmayı tek şartla kabul etmektedir: Fırat bu tehlikeli işi bırakırsa birlikte olabilecektir. Fırat, tehlikeden tehlikeye koştuğu için silahsız yaşamayı bir türlü kabul edemez. Bir süre ayrı kalan ikili, en sonunda bu ayrılığa dayanamaz ve Fırat sevdiğinin teklifini kabul eder. Ancak bu durum iki sevgiliyi trajik bir sona sürükleyecektir.
