When AI reveals Wastewater’s hidden treasures | Francesca Casagli | TEDxCannes
This talk is about the quest for cleaning water contaminated by human activities and mitigating climate change. By combining mathematical modelling approaches with Artificial Intelligence, it is possible to team up a range of microorganisms, including microalgae, and offer a new generation of processes more efficiently recycling precious resources, such as nitrogen and phosphorus. Francesca Casagli is an environment scientist, a researcher within the Green Owl team at the Centre Inria d'Université Côte d'Azur and recipient of the 2022 L'Oréal - UNESCO Young Talent Award “For Women in Science” for her work on innovative bioprocesses for wastewater remediation.
