Rumor beredar menyebutkan TNI AU telah memberikan persetujuan prinsip untuk membeli 42 jet tempur J-10 dari China.
Menjawab rumor tersebut, Donny mengatakan hal tersebut masih rumor.
Ia mengungkapkan rumor tersebut muncul setelah Kepala Staf Angkatan Udara (KSAU) mengunjungi pameran kedirgantaraan di China pada beberapa waktu lalu.
Saat itu, ungkap dia, KSAU memang sempat melihat jet tempur J-10 dan ditawarkan pesawat tersebut.
Namun, kata Donny, saat ini pemerintah masih mempertimbangkan kemungkinan tersebut.
Donny juga menyampaikan pemerintah belum mengirimkan tim untuk mengkajinya.
Hal itu disampaikannya saat Press Gathering terkait Indo Defence 2024 Expo & Forum Ke-10 di kantor Kementerian Pertahanan RI Jakarta Pusat pada Rabu (4/6/2025).(*)
