Peristiwa ini berlangsung di Kota Bnei Brak, Senin (15/7/2024) malam.
Dikutip dari Jerusalem Post, dua perwira Israel yang diserang adalah Mayor Jenderal David Zini dan Brigadir Jenderal Shai Taib.
Awalnya, mereka bertemu dengan Rabbi David Leibel untuk membahas pembentukan divisi ultra-Ortodoks di militer.
Namun setelah pertemuan, mobil kedua jenderal itu sudah dikepung.
Kaum Yahudi ultra-Ortodoks bahkan meneriaki keduanya sebagai pembunuh sambil melempar benda ke arah mobil.
Dua jenderal Israel baru bisa melanjutkan perjalanan setelah polisi tiba di lokasi.
Sebagai informasi, Mahkamah Agung Israel telah mengeluarkan putusan yang mewajibkan Yahudi ultra-Ortodoks ikut wajib militer.
Selama ini, mereka terbebas dari dinas militer karena fokus mempelajari agama.
Inilah yang kemudian membuat Yahudi ultra-Ortodoks marah dan melakukan demo berulang kali.
