JK Wajarkan Massa Gelar Demo Tolak Tunjangan Anggota DPR: Masyarakat Punya Hak Berbicara

Aksi demo itu berlangsung di depan Gedung DPR/MPR RI, Senayan, Jakarta Pusat, pada Senin (25/8).
JK turut mewajarkan aksi demo yang dilakukan ratusan masyarakat itu.
JK menyebut, setiap masyarakat berhak untuk menyuarakan aspirasi mereka tentang nasib masa depan Indonesia kelak.
"Masyarakat memang mempunyai hak untuk berbicara tentang bagaimana masa depan dia, masa depan negara. Kita lihat seperti itu," ujar JK, saat ditemui di Gedung Kampus Utama Universitas Paramadina Cipayung, Jakarta Timur, Rabu (27/8).

Lebih lanjut JK mengaku tak mengetahui para pelajar sekolah menengah atas (SMA) yang ikut terlibat aksi demo.
Pasalnya, saat itu ia sedang berada di luar negeri.
"Saya enggak tahu (ada anak SMA ikut demo), karena saya enggak ada (di Indonesia), saya di luar (negeri)," ucap dia.
Sebagai informasi, massa dari berbagai elemen berkumpul di depan DPR RI, Senayan, membawa beragam tuntutan.
Di antaranya, mulai dari isu RUU Perampasan Aset hingga protes atas kenaikan tunjangan DPR.
Namun, aksi demo tersebut berlangsung ricuh hingga merusak fasilitas umum.
Tak hanya itu, salah satu demonstran keras melontarkan kalimat umpatan ke arah aparat kepolisian yang berupaya memukul mundur massa di sudut Stasiun Palmerah.
Bersamaan dengan hal itu, polisi menebalkan pasukan dan menembakkan gas air mata ke arah demonstran yang melemparkan petasan.
