Xi Jinping se reúne con líder del KMT, Cheng Li-wun, en Beijing
Xi Jinping, secretario general del Comité Central del Partido Comunista de China (PCCh), se reunió en la mañana del viernes en Beijing con Cheng Li-wun, presidenta del Partido Kuomintang (KMT) de China.Invitada por el Comité Central del PCCh y por Xi Jinping, Cheng es la primera persona que ocupa la presidencia del Kuomintang que ha liderado una delegación a la parte continental de China en la última década. La delegación visitó la provincia de Jiangsu y la municipalidad de Shanghai antes de llegar a Beijing. Xi afirmó que esta reunión entre los líderes del PCCh y del KMT, después de 10 años, tiene un gran significado para desarrollar las relaciones entre los dos partidos, como también las que se dan a través del estrecho de Taiwan.
Asimismo, enfatizó que, sin importar cómo evolucione el panorama internacional y la situación a través del Estrecho, la tendencia general hacia la gran revitalización de la nación china no cambiará, como tampoco lo hará el impulso predominante para que los chinos de ambos lados del Estrecho se unan. A su vez, Xi añadió que las personas a ambos lados del Estrecho desean paz y tranquilidad, la mejora de las relaciones a través del mismo, y vidas más favorables.
