In 2025, the Trump administration has significantly reshaped US foreign policy, moving away from strengthening traditional alliances towards a firm “America First” approach.President Trump says these policies have helped bring several conflicts to an end, marking a clear departure from earlier strategies that focused on confronting long-standing rivals and supporting partners over the long term.
The shift has been especially evident in relations with Europe, as well as in the Middle East and Latin America, where Washington has recalibrated its engagement.
Overall, the administration says its new approach prioritises policies it believes best serve American interests.
