Un problema poco noto è che nei #museiitaliani, così come all’estero, solo il 10-15% dei beni è effettivamente esposto: il resto resta nei depositi, spesso saturi e con condizioni non sempre ottimali. Il personale museale non è sufficiente per garantire la gestione e l’accessibilità di tutti i reperti.
Per rispondere a queste criticità, il #CCHP ha sviluppato un sistema per automatizzare i processi nei depositi: un rover autonomo che movimenta i contenitori e una piattaforma per la digitalizzazione automatica dei reperti. Utilizzando due bracci robotici, uno sostiene l’oggetto su un supporto trasparente e l’altro lo scansiona a 360 gradi, creando copie digitali ad alta precisione. Questo permette di conoscere esattamente la posizione dei reperti, alleggerire il personale dalla movimentazione fisica e produrre modelli utili sia per lo studio che per la fruizione pubblica, anche da remoto.
