China apoya los esfuerzos de Panamá para mantener la independencia y defender firmemente sus derechos e intereses legítimos como país soberano independiente, informó el miércoles el portavoz del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores de China, Lin Jian. El vocero emitió estas declaraciones en una conferencia de prensa diaria en respuesta a las declaraciones del jefe de la Autoridad del Canal de Panamá, quien expresó preocupación por una posible concentración de capacidad si se concreta la compra de activos de CK Hutchison. También rechazó una solicitud de EE. UU. para permitir el paso gratuito de sus barcos por el canal. Lin señaló además, que sobre las ventas por parte de CK Hutchison de sus activos en el extranjero, la Administración Estatal de Regulación del Mercado y las autoridades competentes han respondido a eso más de una vez.
