(Agenzia Vista) "L'Ucraina è stata al centro di numerose discussioni negli ultimi giorni. Qualsiasi piano di pace credibile e sostenibile dovrebbe innanzitutto porre fine alle uccisioni e alla guerra, senza però gettare i semi di un futuro conflitto". Lo afferma la presidente della Commissione Ue Ursula von der Leyen in un videomessaggio postato sui social. "Abbiamo concordato sui principali elementi necessari per una pace giusta e duratura e per la sovranità dell'Ucraina - prosegue Von der Leyen -. E vorrei evidenziarne tre. Primo, i confini non possono essere modificati con la forza. Secondo, in quanto nazione sovrana, non possono esserci limitazioni alle forze armate ucraine che renderebbero il Paese vulnerabile a futuri attacchi, compromettendo così anche la sicurezza europea. Terzo, la centralità dell'Unione Europea e la garanzia della pace per l'Ucraina devono essere pienamente rispettate". "L'Ucraina deve avere la libertà e il diritto sovrano di scegliere il proprio destino. Ha scelto un destino europeo. Tutto inizia con la ricostruzione del Paese, la sua integrazione nel nostro mercato unico e nella nostra base industriale di difesa, e infine l'adesione all'Unione", sottolinea Ursula von der Leyen.Ebs
