Yazar Orhan Pamuk ile Masumiyet Müzesi’nde: 'Eşyaların sırrına inanıyorum'
Nobel ödüllü yazar Orhan Pamuk'un müzeye çevirdiği Çukurcuma'daki evde gerçekleştirdiğimiz özel söyleşide, eşyaların hatıraları geri getirme gücünü, koleksiyonculuğun sarsıcı doğasını ve müzenin bir şehir hafızası olarak geleceğe bıraktığı mirası konuştuk.Masumiyet Müzesi 2008'de roman olarak yayınlandı, 2012'de fiziksel bir müze olarak doğdu, bu yıl yayınlanan Netflix dizisiyle de çok daha geniş bir kitleye kavuştu.
Euronews Türkçe ekibi, Nobel Edebiyat Ödüllü yazar Orhan Pamuk tarafından bizzat müzede ağırlandı. Pamuk, romanın ardındaki felsefeyi, eşyaların hatıra gücünü ve müzenin geleceğe bırakacağı mirası paylaştı.
'Hayatımın en mutlu anıymış bilmiyordum' cümlesi bugün dünya edebiyatının en çarpıcı açılışlarından biri olarak kabul ediliyor. Sizce bu cümleyi bu kadar güçlü yapan şey nedir?
Roman şu cümleyle de bitiyor: "Herkes bilsin, çok mutlu bir hayat yaşadım." İlk ve son cümlede ortak üç kelime var: mutluluk, hayat ve bilmek. Bu üçü benim romancılığımda çok önemli üç kahraman. Mutlu olabiliriz ama bunu bilmeyebiliriz; nitekim başkahraman Kemal de bu konuda tam olarak öyle.
Hayatın bence en önemli değeri mutluluktur. Tolstoy, benim için en büyük yazardır, bütün romanlarında hayatın anlamını, mutluluğun nedenlerini araştırmıştır. Masumiyet Müzesi de bütün bu konularla meşgul olan bir roman olduğu için — mutluluk, hayat ve hayatın anlamı, mutluluğun farkına varmak — bu kelimelerin yer aldığı iki cümleyle başlıyor ve bitiyor.
