Ironisnya, empat warga itu dituduh merambah lahan yang justru merupakan tanah milik mereka sendiri—tanah yang sudah mereka garap turun-temurun, namun belakangan diklaim pemerintah sebagai kawasan hutan.
“Ada sekarang empat orang yang tersangka karena menggarap lahan mereka sendiri dianggap perambah hutan. Loh, saya sedih,” ujar Yandri.
“Saya ketemu ibu usia 59 tahun yang tiba-tiba jadi tersangka karena menggarap lahannya sendiri. Saya sampai mau nangis melihatnya itu,” lanjutnya dalam wawancara eksklusif bersama Direktur Pemberitaan Tribun Network, Febby Mahendra Putra, di program Ngobrol Bareng Cak Febby (Ngocak Febby), di Kediamannya, Jakarta, Jumat (3/10/2025).
Menurut Yandri, penetapan Kementerian Kehutanan pada 2014 yang memasukkan seluruh wilayah Desa Sukawangi ke dalam kawasan hutan tidak bisa diterima akal sehat.
Pasalnya, Desa Sukawangi telah berdiri sejak tahun 1930.
Selama hampir satu abad, desa ini tumbuh sebagai pemukiman lengkap dengan fasilitas umum seperti masjid, pondok pesantren, sekolah, PAUD, puskesmas, hingga kantor desa—semuanya dibangun secara resmi dengan persetujuan pemerintah.
“Bayangkan satu desa, 100 persen kawasan hutan. Padahal di sana ada sekolah, masjid, puskesmas, bahkan kantor desa. Logika mana yang bisa menerima itu?” tegasnya.
“Saya tanya, apakah ini dibangun oleh pemerintah? Iya. Apakah ini dulu kawasan hutan? Enggak. Nah ini menurut saya juga ada yang keliru."
