Kebijakan pemasangan stairlift di Candi Borobudur menuai kontroversi. Namun, Menteri Kebudayaan Fadli Zon menegaskan justru Indonesia terlambat memasang fasilitas tersebut."Stairlift itu tidak masif. Kalau kita datang ke situs-situs heritage dunia, itu sudah ada. Dipasang di mana-mana, kita itu terlambat. Kita memang perlu piknik," kata Menbud Fadli Zon di Istiqlal, Jakarta, Jumat (6/6/2025).
Fadli Zon menegaskan, stairlift digunakan untuk memudahkan warga senior dan kelompok disabilitas mendapatkan akses untuk ke Candi Borobudur.
"Ini namanya bagian inklusif terutama buat senior dan disabilitas. Itu dipasang sudah umum, tidak perlu ada kontroversi, dan tidak merusak sama sekali," tutup Fadli Zon.
