Menurut hasil investigasi, tentara Israel melakukan kesalahan fatal sehingga Hamas dengan mudah memasuki dan menyerang wilayah Zionis.
Penyelidikan ini dilakukan oleh Mayor Jenderal (purn.) Mickey Edelstein, mantan komandan Divisi Gaza.
Menurut video yang dipublikasikan, ratusan militan menyerbu perbatasan Gaza di Kibbutz Be'eri pagi hari waktu setempat.
Mereka menggunakan sepeda motor dan membawa senjata laras panjang.
Penduduk setempat berjuang sendiri selama berjam-jam yang tercengang oleh serangan mendadak di puluhan kota.
Sementara tentara Israel gagal menyelamatkan warga saat Hamas berpindah dari satu rumah ke rumah lain.
125 rumah di komunitas tersebut rusak dan hancur akibat pertempuran tersebut.
Be'eri adalah komunitas yang paling parah terkena dampak serangan Hamas pada (7/10).
Di mana sekitar 3.000 militan Hamas menyerbu perbatasan.
1.200 warga Israel dilaporkan terbunuh dalam insiden ini.
Penyelidikan tersebut menyimpulkan bahwa IDF gagal dalam misinya untuk melindungi penduduk Kibbutz Be'eri.
Insiden tersebut terjadi lantaran militer tidak pernah bersiap menghadapi peristiwa seperti itu.
Menurut penyelidikan, IDF mengalami kesulitan dalam komando dan kendali situasi selama jam-jam pertama pertempuran di Be'eri.
