Usé la Física para Predecir el Mundial 2026
¿Quién ganará el Mundial 2026? ¿Argentina, Brasil, Francia, España, México, Colombia… o una sorpresa imposible de predecir?En este vídeo intento responder a la gran pregunta del fútbol usando ciencia: probabilidad, estadística, termodinámica y el teorema de Bayes. Porque predecir un Mundial no es como lanzar dados. Un partido de fútbol no tiene resultados equiprobables, no se puede repetir miles de veces en las mismas condiciones y está lleno de detalles humanos imposibles de controlar.
Primero veremos por qué la probabilidad frecuentista funciona muy bien con dados, monedas, casinos o partículas, pero falla cuando intentamos aplicarla a sucesos únicos como un partido de fútbol. Después entraremos en la probabilidad bayesiana, una forma de actualizar creencias con nueva información: lesiones, estado de forma, rachas, entrenadores, clima, historia, presión y contexto.
Y finalmente llega el experimento: usar una inspiración absurda pero maravillosa —la termodinámica— para construir un modelo y predecir qué selecciones podrían llegar a semifinales y quién podría ganar el Mundial 2026.
Pero hay un problema: el fútbol se parece demasiado a la vida. Siempre puede aparecer un Eder, un Joselu, un gol imposible, una jugada absurda o un instante humano que ninguna IA, ningún superordenador y ningún modelo matemático puede anticipar.
Este vídeo habla del Mundial 2026, sí. Pero también de probabilidad, ciencia, azar, inteligencia artificial, predicciones, fútbol y de por qué algunas cosas siguen siendo imposibles de calcular.
