Ancak BBC Türkçe'nin bir yıl süren araştırması, yardım mağazası sahibi Karagöz'ün, Ankara'da çaresiz bazı Suriyeli kadınlara yönelik cinsel istismar iddialarının merkezinde olduğunu ortaya çıkardı.
Karagöz, tüm bu iddiaları reddetti.
BBC Türkçe’nin sitesinde yayımlanan haberin ardından, Ankara Cumhuriyet Başsavcılığı Karagöz hakkında soruşturma başlattı.
Karagöz, haberdeki kadınlardan farklı iki kadına, yardım bahanesiyle cinsel istismarda bulunduğu suçlamasıyla tutuklandı.
