Ho ascoltato le loro paure e conosco bene il loro sentimento di impotenza dinanzi a dinamiche di potere che li sorpassano. Il Bambino che oggi nasce a Betlemme è lo stesso Gesù che dice: 'Abbiate pace in me. Nel mondo avete tribolazioni, ma abbiate coraggio: io ho vinto il mondo!'. Da Lui invochiamo giustizia, pace e stabilità per il Libano, la Palestina, Israele, la Siria, confidando in queste parole divine: 'Praticare la giustizia darà pace.
