What many do not realize is that no matter how unique some person's voice may be, it is often them emulating singers who had influence over them when they were younger...
It's kind of like the circle of life... Vocal styles are often mixtures of imitations of those who came before, filtered through the new lens of the next generation of singers. And so it goes!
We are all the product of those who came before us and showed us the way. Then we follow, and yet we also take our own pathways.
