Verkehrsunfall in Mannheim: Straßenbahn kollidiert mit BMW
Mannheim: Am Montagabend gegen 18:30 Uhr kam es in der Röntgenstraße auf Höhe des Friedhofs zu einem folgenschweren Verkehrsunfall: Ein BMW Cabrio kollidierte beim Queren der Schienen mit einer in Richtung Innenstadt fahrenden Straßenbahn.Die 52-jährige Fahrerin des BMW wollte über die Wendeschleife zur Käfertaler Straße weiterfahren, als sie bei Grün losfuhr. Aus bislang ungeklärter Ursache fuhr der 58-jährige Straßenbahnfahrer zeitgleich in den Kreuzungsbereich ein – es kam zur Kollision.
Der BMW blieb im Gleisbett liegen, die Fahrerin erlitt leichte Verletzungen und wurde in ein Krankenhaus gebracht. Fahrgäste und Fahrer der Bahn blieben unverletzt. Der Sachschaden wird auf rund 17.000 Euro geschätzt.
Der Bahnverkehr war bis etwa 20:30 Uhr unterbrochen. Die Unfallaufnahme übernahm der Verkehrsdienst Mannheim. Receive SMS online on sms24.me
