Israele ricorda le vittime dell'attacco di Hamas del 7 ottobre 2023 in occasione del secondo anniversario dell'assalto dei miliziani a basi militari, kibbutz e anche al Nova Festival. Nell'assalto a basi militari, comunitร agricole e un festival musicale all'aperto, sono state uccise circa 1.200 persone, per lo piรน civili, tra cui donne, bambini e anziani. Duecentocinquantuno i rapiti, la maggior parte dei quali sono morti in prigionia o sono stati rilasciati in seguito a cessate il fuoco o altri accordi. Quarantotto rimangono all'interno di Gaza, circa 20 dei quali sono ritenuti vive da Israele. A Reim la gente ha visitato un memoriale allestito sul luogo del Nova Festival in ricordo delle vittime.
