Power Apps FINALLY Gets Modern Attachments | SharePoint Patch, Forms & More
Power Apps finally has a Modern Attachments control and, in this video, I walk through everything you need to know to start using it in your Canvas PowerApps.You’ll learn how to add the new control, configure its important properties, manage file uploads, use attachments inside a Modern Form control, and use the control outside a form to save attachments directly to a SharePoint list using Patch.
The Modern Attachments control brings a much cleaner experience with support for file upload, Drag-and-drop, download, file-count limits, file-size limits, accepted file types, modern styling, and attachment-specific events.
Most importantly, its Attachments output can be used directly with Patch, giving you much more flexibility when building custom Power Apps experiences.
For SharePoint scenarios, you can bind the control to a selected list item’s attachments and then pass the updated Attachments output directly into Patch to save the changes.
The Modern Attachments control is currently in preview, so make sure you test it thoroughly before using it in production scenarios.
