Mencegah hal itu terjadi, Israel mengancam meluncurkan aksi militer terhadap Teheran.
"Kami tidak punya banyak waktu," kata Menteri Luar Negeri Gideon Sa'ar.
"Saya pikir untuk menghentikan program nuklir Iran sebelum dijadikan senjata, opsi militer yang andal harus dipertimbangkan," katanya lagi, yang dilansir Kamis (27/2/2025).
Menurut Menteri Luar Negeri Gideon Sa'ar, Iran telah memperkaya uranium yang cukup untuk menghasilkan beberapa bom nuklir.
Ancaman Israel muncul ketika Presiden Amerika Serikat (AS) Donald Trump memberikan tekanan maksimal pada Teheran untuk mencapai kesepakatan pengekangan program nuklirnya.
Sa'ar mengatakan bahwa opsi diplomatik adalah yang terbaik tetapi peluang keberhasilannya tidak besar, seraya menambahkan bahwa Iran dengan memiliki senjata nuklir akan menjadi malapetaka bagi keamanan Israel.
Menurutnya, kemampuan nuklir Iran juga akan memicu perlombaan senjata nuklir di kawasan Timur Tengah dengan Mesir, Arab Saudi, dan Turki.
Komentar diplomat Zionis tersebut menyusul pernyataan tegas dari Perdana Menteri Israel Benjamin Netanyahu bahwa dia akan mengakhiri ambisi nuklir Iran bersama presiden AS Donald Trump.
