SAMIR XAUD ANUNCIA COMPROMISSO DA CBF COM O MEIO AMBIENTE
O presidente da CBF, Samir Xaud, endossou no Expert XP 2025 o compromisso da entidade com a proteção ao meio ambiente. No evento em São Paulo, ele anunciou novas medidas, como a participação da CBF na COP30 e a compensação de carbono nos jogos oficiais das Seleções Masculina e Feminina Principal, e enalteceu a importância desta pauta não apenas para o futebol, mas para o futuro do planeta.Xaud destacou que faltava à entidade a preocupação ambiental e afirmou que a CBF terá também “projetos de reflorestamento, educação ambiental, incentivo à logística sustentável e muito mais”.
Antes de falar ao público no painel CBF Verde: O Futebol Entra em Campo com o Meio Ambiente, no qual conversou com o diretor institucional da XP Investimentos, Rafael Furlanetti, ele participou do fórum sobre o Fundo Verde do Clima (em inglês Green Climate Fund - GCF), maior fundo climático do mundo.
Na mesa de debate, reuniu-se com governadores da Região Norte, representantes da XP Investimentos, investidores e com o ex-governador da Califórnia, empresário e grande entusiasta do meio ambiente, Arnold Schwarzenegger, a quem presenteou com uma camisa da Seleção Brasileira.
