Kawasan TOD MRT Bisa Jadi Tulang Punggung Transportasi di Jakarta
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) tengah gencar mengembangkan kawasan Transit Oriented Development (TOD) untuk mengedepankan fungsi dan ragam manfaat, khususnya bagi pelanggan.Pihaknya terus berkolaborasi dengan berbagai pihak untuk menjadi kunci pengembangan kawasan berorientasi transit ini.
Kawasan TOD dikembangkan untuk mengoptimalkan akses terhadap transportasi publik sehingga dapat menunjang daya angkut penumpang.
Direktur Pengembangan Bisnis PT MRT Jakarta, Farchad Mahfud, dalam sesi kelas fellowship program pada 7 Agustus 2025 lalu mengatakan, pihaknya terus memaksimalkan dan serius mengembangkan kawasan TOD.
"Business plan terkait dengan TOD. Kalau kita benchmark dengan negara lain, TOD bisa diandalkan untuk kontribusi yang cukup signifikan. Core business-nya memang di situ. Itu yang perlu difokuskan. Ada properti, estate management, semua bisnis stasiun bisa kita lakukan di TOD," ujar Farchad.
Sementara itu, pengamat transportasi dari Masyarakat Transportasi Indonesia (MTI), Revy Petragradia, menyambut baik pengembangan ini. Kawasan TOD yang dikembangkan PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) dinilai bisa menjadi tulang punggung atau backbone transportasi di Jakarta ke depannya jika dimaksimalkan dengan baik.
