Fransa ordusu Afrika'da hangi bölgelerden çekildi?
Bir zamanlar Afrika'nın Jandarması olarak bilinen Fransa'nın kıtada askerlerini çektiği ülke sayısı 5'e yükseldi.Burkina Faso, Mali, Nijer ve Çad'ın ardından Fildişi Sahili'nden de askerlerini geri çekti. Ülkedekk askeri üssü Fildişi ordusuna devretti. Üsse ülkenin ilk Genelkurmay Başkanının adı verildi. 1978'de kurulan bu üs onlarca yıl Fransa'nın Batı Afrika'daki stratejik karakollarından biriydi.
Fransa Savunma Bakanı Sebastien Lecornu'ya göre, ülkedeki varlıkları sona ermiyor, aksine bir dönüşümden geçiyor. Fildişi Sahili'nde kalacak 80 askerle Fransız mevcudiyeti devam edecek. Fransa'nın, Fildişi Sahili'nde yaklaşık 600 askeri bulunuyordu.
Paris'in askerlerini çekeceği bir başka ülke de Senegal. Bu yıl içerisinde 350 askeriyle ülkeyi terk etmeyi planlıyor. Yine de Fransa'nın Afrika'da askeri varlığını sürdürdüğü ülkeler var. Cibuti'de 1500 asker ve Gabon'da 350 asker ile Afrika'dan tamamen çekilmiş değil.
Peki, Fransa'nın boşalttığı alanı kimler dolduracak? Halihazırda Rusya askeri ilişkilerini güçlendirerek kıtadaki nüfuzunu daha da artırma arayışında. Türkiye de son dönemde savunma sanayi alanında yaptığı atılımlarla Afrika ülkelerinin ilgisini çekiyor.
